Swirl test, now in full scale

Hello again. Here is my swirl attempt #3. I know that this aint a Jem, but for me swirls are very strong associated with the Jem's.

First a couple of samples I tested and some came out pretty well.

Then I tested to swirl an Ibanez bass that I have, just to test it in full scale. I'm pretty happy with the result and will clear coat it as it is.

I have huge problem with the black colour, it dry very quick when it comes into the water, I don't know why, but some more tests will be done. Anyone who knows why the black dry that fast?

Next I'll try to do a GMC swirl on one of my guitars.

Here is some pictures:

It's a great looking swirl - good work.

I think the fact that the body also has rounded edges adds to it a lot too - we're used to seeing swirls on square edged RG/JEM bodies.

Yeah, can only agree with everyone. That's a beautiful swirl. For paint drying to slow down, maybe cooling down the water will help a bit.

this is pretty cool! i was never able to get right amount of color from bottom to top as it would get thinner and thinner.

Thanks to all for the comments.

I have a very big tank, about 250 litres and it's very wide at the top, then the problem with thin color at the end of the swirl will not be that bad. But I have to add a lot of color and almost cover all surface to have the color to last all the way.

This was my first full scale swirl it migth go worse next time, or even better. Swirling isn't easy in any way. I have tested a lot in small scale before I did this one.

Hello Ibateur,

I tried with the coolest water I can get from my water source, but still the same problem. If I want the water to be colder I have to add a ton of ice to it
