Tarting up a BSB

So, my Jem BSB started out like this:

and has been played for a few years, and 2 or 3 years ago I decided to take a blowtorch to it, and did this to it:

now, the back of the neck has always been worn since a few months after i got it, and the colour was a bit non commital and faded, so to today, i just decided it was time to remedy it, and ended up doing this to it:

So yes, staining is fun! It goes everywhere if you're a bit of a chaos factory like myself at times, but, the result is very cool, and even if it is a bit greener than I intended, I actually vastly prefer it, it just seems way way more alive than it did before

THis bodes well for any future evil plans!

Suffice to say, I am well happy with the result of 10 minutes work with a foam brush!

Re: Tarting up a BSB

Green always sounds better

Going to see about rectifying some of the burn patterns to shade them a bit better, but other than that I am pretty pleased. Got some on the fretboard, but don't mind, as will just play it off, and was considering dying the fretboard a bit darker, but in case, noone would be interested in buying it anyway seeing all the "extra" mods I've done to it

I think the back plates look ghetto as hell. Reminds me of a dean razorback (Pantera, ewwww......). Aside from that, I like the way your jem looks now, congrats!

Yeah, it's going through an evolution, replaced the pickups in it a while back and got rif of the evolutions which where way too harsh for the guitar It's all coming together, plus, green is a better colour for it!

bum?

Nice work.
Anyway, yeah, the neck was never the greatest, but i did a little more burning on patches where i thought it needed aesthetic improvement last night. I think I am going to have to hide the blowtorch as it is way too much fun...

Still, rofl, to me it's an extension of art and creative freedom, that matches Clive's music to the tee i reckon
