Sandpaper is your friend

Though....the thought of 'Cid being "chubbed up" is a little frightening

IF it is real then i doubt it'll be flying off the shelves at great rates

try to follow the link, if it doesnt take you directly there.... it may ask you english or japanese (click what language you want), then go to it then click the 3rd astrict down "KISEKAE Virtual Guitar Modeling System"

this will bring you to a website where you can design guitars, by the elbow contour shining like that, the bridge not really looking metalic, the vai logo looking a little weird, and the image not being vectored and looking rough... I will have to call Shenanogans, bullS*it, but hey i could be wrong but it looks like a fake to me
Believe me, it's real, Sherlock. It came from an open Ibanez directory which featured more images of guitars already confirmed through sites like thomann. Also check this out: http://www.jemsite.com/forums/f16/20...ars-85303.html (more Kisekae hoaxes?)

And the image doesn't look like anything you can cook up with Kisekae.

Re: JEMFX - Hardtail JEM - Image inside!

The Tight-End bridge is also not something found on Kisekae, not since I last checked. It makes the guitar look ugly as ****, though maybe Vai found that bridge more satisfying than the kind you get on the RG321/RGR321EX/RGT6EXFX.

I'm not ruling it out being a photoshop just yet.

Re: JEMFX - Hardtail JEM - Image inside!

ahahahahahahaha I told you alll its gona be a boring block of wood. Rich mentioned he has seen it, cant he just confirm this or not. BLoody ugly black colored rubbish. I hope no one buys it and they learn a real lesson. The Jem is supposed to be Ibanez's fun model.....

Its basically a black Jem without the Floyd..... Wow Ibanez really went to town on this one

Re: JEMFX - Hardtail JEM - Image inside!

I would have preferred it was just a JEM7V with a gold hardtail. Like that hardtail part of that triple-neck that Vai has.

Re: JEMFX - Hardtail JEM - Image inside!

Without the Vai logo that thing would pwn. But, as it is now, that thing is so...cheesy/tacky/not-in-a-good-way-weird.

EDIT: But, if it's cheap enough, I'm getting it. I'm not gonna cross my fingers though. It does have Vai's name attached to it. (literally)

Re: There's A HARDTAIL Jem Coming!!!

Oh... Well, thank God the Aussie dollar is crap against the US. That bridge looks ugly IMO, and I don't think I'd be comfortable playing a guitar that had VAI in big letters on it.

Re: JEMFX - Hardtail JEM - Image inside!

That's got to be the ugliest jem ever produced. I sincerely hope that's not the real deal.

That decal is hideous to say the least, and the bridge is horrendous.

AND its black, AND its boring, AND the pickguard looks cheap. But black and boring I could live with. Even the cheap looking pickguard. Its the bridge and the graphic that are just plain ugly.

That's crap-tastic. Glad I won't have to come up with the money for a Jem this year after all...

Just went back and read some of the early posts in this thread. Rich has a gift for understatement! But it's funny. "Everyone will complain about the color" because it's BLACK - perfect. And "unique detail?" Never in a million years would I have guessed it'd have a big-ass "VAI" logo behind the bridge.

Rich tried to warn us. We've only ourselves to blame if we weren't properly prepared mentally.

Can't wait to see the traffic pick up in the "Complain to Steve about the JEM/UV LINEUP here" sticky-thread.

OK. I'm done.
