The toy room

Not all these are Jems, obviously, but I had them all out tonight while I was reorganising my cave so I thought I'd share. The LNG is # 370 (I think, the number is partially worn off), signed by both Vai and Satriani. I bought the FP from a member here last year. I am the original owner of the PBK, bought in the late 80s.

Yes, it's the ebony fretboard.

Re: The toy room

Thanks

I try to use them all, cycling through them when I can (as regularly as work allows). The Les Paul (2013 LP Standard) is the most recent acquisition and my current main guitar, but the FP is an amazing instrument and I tend to favour it more than the others.

The LNG and the DY were shipped to me from the US (I am in Australia). When they arrived they had no packing around them at all! I was told that they would be packaged up and so forth but they weren't. They arrived in the back of a truck, completely devoid of any protective packing apart from a bit of masking tape to hold customs ppaperwork and so forth.

The cases copped a little damage but I can live with that. I am just amazed to this day that they arrived at all, let alone undamaged. Anybody could have opened the cases and stolen the contents (and I am sure a few looked).

Re: The toy room

Sounds like you were lucky there with the transit!

That Gibson keep's catching my eye - that's an absolute beauty. I'd love a proper LP someday but I've found an Ibby ART 520 which is plenty to keep the likes of me going. GAS never goes...
