trem arm loose

the trem arm on my Jem is a little to loose. Now it's not loose in the fact of it swaying around too much, but I mean like, when I wanna do small dips and whammy vibratos, it's very "wiggly", if you will.

I applied clear coat under the washers. That seemed to only affect the tightness of the bars swaying motion, which is what I expected.

It's almost as if the bar is too thin to fit snuggly into the hole...

Well, you have to make sure all the parts are there. See Ibanez Rules' parts page for a good diagram of the trem. I would replace the washers and make sure the Arm Holder Nut is firmly in place. Also, make sure the Arm Holder Spring and Screw are properly installed. See if this works

LISTEN, had this problem, required no new parts, though I'm not saying you don't need them. On jensite there is a tutorial about how to tighten the arm, mine was also wiggley as you said, so I know exactly what you are talking about, and the guitar was new, infact all but 2 ibanezs I've owned(10) all came with this wiggley sensation. Just follow the directions and it should fix it, works everytime for me.

If you have trouble finding the tutorial, just say so, I'll find it for you and post the link.
