Ultra DBK - dream commin' true soon! - This is gonna be so s

I'm am about as stoked as I can get! My DBK is about to have a chrome vine inlay installed! I'll be sending the neck to Jeremy (littlegreenman) at LGM Guitars once he gets home from Minnasota(sp?). I can't wait!!!! This is as close as I could come to a pic of what it's going to look like:

If any of you Photoshop guru's want to do a better pic, be my guest!

WOOHOO!!!!

So waddaya think about the idea?

That is going to look killer!!

Be sure to post some good pics when you finally get her back. *I take it that Jeremy is going to be able to completely remove all traces of the original dots?? *

That's how the DBK should have looked from the beginning. The only drawback with the DBK is the boring inlay. Yours is gonna be a beauty. I can't wait to see the finished result.

That really looks great, a chrome vine is exactly what the DBK needs. I have to agree with Salem, the DBK should have had better inlays to start with. Those dots are extremely boring and very cheap. The phillips head +, which is printed on the little piece of paper and inlayed under clear plastic, is so inferior when compared with other Jem inlays. I personally would rather have no inlays. If I had to choose dots, I prefer plain old plastic, abalone, or m.o.p. as opposed to those stupid paper +'s.

SWEET!!! *My DBK should be here in a week or so (bought one from HIS ROYAL DARKNESS). *If you don't mind my asking, how much is that going to set you back? *If it's reasonable, I might like the same thing (or something similar...chrome/m.o.p. pyramids????) done to mine. *Be sure to put up some pics of finished product.

Yeah, that's what I want to have done on my dbk. I just can't decide whether I want the chrome vines or pyramids. Be sure to post a pic. It's going to be a killer for sure!!!

I wonder, if a BSB would look cool with wine inlay... Too much ideas, too little time.

Hey guys, Patrick has been drooling over this vine for a long time hehehe. *It will indeed be Chrome, the cost is the same as the standard vine inlay basically, if you go to the website, you can see the price list, I'd put it here, but I don't wanna get myself in caca heheheh. *
I'll put pics up as it goes along!!!! *

Has anyone ever bound a neck and headstock with a chrome or metal material? Some strip aluminum or stainless steel would make some nice binding... on a fretboard, it would be relatively easy to do, since the edges are straight.
