Used Jem7vwh price question (EU)

Hi,

is it just me or are the used gear prices going thru the roof nowadays? What would be a good price for a mint Edge Pro-equipped, ebony fretboard Jem7VWH in Europe?

I think it's just you! I think that the used market is great at the moment. Especially on higher priced instruments which can be picked up from the US for a lot less than they would cost you in Europe.

OK, it's just me then!

I've been hunting for J-Customs, RGs and RGTs lately so I'm not too familiar with what are the used prices for mint 7vwhs. If nothing has happened those mint used ones go for like 1350€-1650€, am I right?

yes, it sounds right, depends on condition tho. EU new prices are higher than rest of the world, so second hand price will be higher too. Guitars companies might think that European are richer LOL.

Compare that to a new price and factor in that a lot of the recent Jems are very WELL looked after, that's where you get a good deal . You pay a guitar for much less than it normally is new, while maintaining a similar mint condition. Sounds good to me. Don't lose hope fellow Jem Hunter

Re: Used Jem7vwh price question (EU)

It's more expensive in Europe because of import tax...

It's more than 20% in the Netherlands of the total price. Let's say i buy a used JEM 7VWH for 1300 USD. I'd still have to pay 150 usd shipping and 300 euro's tax when the guitar reaches our borders.

So a mint Jem with Edge Pro and ebony board (2003 model) would go here for about 1500 euro's.

Bought yesterday a 2000 7VWH
Ebony and Lo-pro edge just as i like it
only some light scratches on back from clothes and little erosion on handpalm place on bridge

for reference: price was 1350 euro
I think for Americans high price, but ok for here

ps: very proud to be a jem owner!
dreamed of having one about 15y long

You aren't being TOO specific are you?

That is an '03 I believe you are referring too as they went to rosewood in '04 and '03 was the first year for the EP trem.

I would think it harder to find that specific year so you are stuck paying whatever they ask, if you find one.

regards,
~Bones

That description I wrote gives forumites all the facts they need to determine the price. Didn't want to leak where it's for sale neither...
