UV70P Steve Vai Premium Signature - To Plek or not to Plek

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these. Sweetwater offers Plek service for around $200. Given it's a Premium, is it worth the cost to Plek it?

I have a Prestige and while it's amazing, it's not 100% perfect (annoying finish flaws in the pickup routs). I guess that would be my best reference since I don't have a Plek'd guitar. Thanks!

Save the money and play with a slightly higher action the first year or two.

Necks wood on Indo guitars will settle within the first year. So plek would be a waste of money. Rich wrote the same in a post not long ago.

Personally I would take the guitar to a skilled luthier then. Gives the same result for less money and perhaps a better job on the crown and the polishing. Plekin' is only half of the job...

Great advice, thanks. I have a number of Indo Jacksons and the fret work has been good. They're all neck-through so that's a bit of an apples and slightly different apples comparison.
