Is the Uv777bk similar to the korn model? Im talking about the neck, because i really really hated the korn model. And im thinking about getting a UV. I know the pickups are different. But Seriously if i didn't like the korn should i consider getting another 7 string.

Well that depends on what you didn't like about on the K-7 ?
The neck on the K-7 is the wizard which is thinner while the UV neck is a bit rounder and thicker...

The differences on these models are :
Different wood *UV - American Basswood/K-7 - Mahogany
Different neck UV - UVneck/K-7 - Wizard7
Different pick-ups UV - Blaze II's/K-7 - PAF7
Almost different bridge UV - Lo-pro Edge7/K-7 - Lo-pro Edge7 w/U-bar
And the look of course...

In your situation setup is everything. The Korn guitar could be setup to play very well, just as a UV could be setup to play very poor.

Don't make a bad setup the deciding factor. I have a UV777BK and enjoy it very much. All I've done to it since I purchased it was change the pickups (hated the stockers) and give it a good setup.

Made all the difference.

The universe neck feels very different from the wizard neck. *I used to have a Parker Fly Deluxe, same neck profile as the nite fly. *The wizard 7 is more similar to the fly neck, it is thin, flat and wide. *I have a buddy with a CST 7 string and it has the wizard 7 neck, same as the RG-7's. *Playing the two guitars one after the other is like nite and day.

THe uv neck by comparison feels much deeper, much more meat in your hands. *I definitely prefer the UV neck to the wizard, but I have large hands (easy ladies...)

I totally agree with Jefferey in that set up is everything with these guitars. *A poorly set up UV will feel worse than...I don't want to even think about it...let's just say it won't feel up to its potential at all.

For what it's worth, I felt that my Parker was the best playing guitar on earth....until I got my UV and spent some time setting it up properly. *Much more organic-feeling instrument, resonant and just plain kewl. *It is every bit as smooth as my Parker, but the Parker just had that anonymous feeling to it, the UV is a much more personal instrument.
