UV77MC/UV77RE Replica, Used UV7BK or UV70P?

Hey guys I'm a little confused on what to go for. I definitely want to move to 7 strings for the extra range and thought a Universe would be the best way to go but dunno what would be my best bet?

My options are making a UV77MC/UV77RE Replica as I've always loved the swirl finish but I can't afford the genuine ones, a used UV7BK or a new UV70P as I love the black with the green. I have played the UV70P but never had the oppertunity to play the original UV7BK.

So question is guys what would you do if you were me? It's always good to have second opinions and who better to ask than you guys here? :-) Thanks.

I would also go for the original UV7BK. I wouldn't trade mine for a new or a clone.
It will also not decrease in value like the others and besides that it's just a great guitar.

I also happen to own an original 1996 UV7BK, "green dots".
There's some sort of mojo on it that you can't find on newer models... just awesome.

I have owned two green dots, but prefer my custom UV77MC. It really depends on who makes the clone. I know that Michael at LiveWire here in the States makes all of his MC clones out of RG7620/7420's or old UV's. So, even if the guitar isn't an original MC, at least it will feel like a real Ibanez. Also, it gives you the opportunity to buy a MC with the AANJ, if that's your thing.

Sorry for the long pause between posts. I decided on making a UV77MC clone, I'll probably buy a UV7BK in the future for that mojo, but atm I just thought it would be more personal to assemble and work on a guitar myself to an extent. I bought a swirled AANJ Universe body from Area51 Customs, which is selling the last of OOTS bodies. I know what I need to get, I have found a neck but need to save up for it, I recon it'll be a long process before I complete it due to money but it'll be worth it.

Crazy Dean, yeah I prefer AANJ when it comes to my Ibanez guitars but I don't mind square heels either. I live in the UK but how much do the LiveWire necks go for and do they cut the headstock to an Ibanez shape?

Support for this. I own -90 UV7bk and tried 70P couple months ago and we are talking completely different guitars.
