UV7BK repaint?

Hey guys, i'm new to posting in this forum, been reading in here for over a year now though. I recently bought a '91 UV7BK with the green dots off another forum member. The guitar is awesome i love it, but the body is a little beat up. Is it worth it to repaint it? I would obviously keep it black, but should i repaint the guitar or keep the stock paint even though it has a fair amoung of dings and chips?

Re: UV7BK repaint?

indeed. But if you don't have any sentimental connection to the "character" of the guitar now, I would re-paint it (black, yes), and give it some of your own character after.

Re: UV7BK repaint?

Read the reranch tutorial (http://www.reranch.com/basics.htm) if you're going to do it yourself. They also have the products for you. All the best.

Re: UV7BK repaint?

Guitars have to age/become old with the owner/player. No "plastic surgery" Leave it original as it is and play the hell out of it....IMO

+1. I can't imagine how bad it could be. Just play the thing -- so what if it has some flesh wounds.
