value of my UV777BK?
ok, well, i haven't been on here for quite some time. i basically quit playing metal, progressive, and all that stuff. just got tired of it and once i bought my new acoustic about 5 months ago.. it is all i play now. i love my new carvin C980t, which i picked over a $2500 dollar taylor, and once i got it.. i just quit playing my UV all together. my UV is in good shape. prolly 8.5-9 outta 10. the only wear is there is wear on the tremelo bar, some wear to the chrome on the bridge, but i took pretty good care of it, so it wouldn't get worn out too quickly. also, the only paint flaw is that there is a small ding on the arm rest, but it is only in the clear coat. there are a few very very small chips on the bottom ege on the back edge not the front. none of them are wider then a MM and no longer the about 2. there are prolly 3 of those, but i'm going to touch them up and they shouldn't be noticable.
this guitar has been VERY well taken care of it. i'm the second owner and any/all of the things wrong with this besides wear on the hardware is from the previous owner. out of my 9 guitars not a single on has a dent, ding, or scratch that i've put on it, because i'm sooo carefull with my instruments. so, i have a two kids who want to pay me $1000 for my guitar along with the case and then have me set it up for them. i set up some floyd tremelos at my school, because i'm good with them, so the thing will play like it is new!! : )
i haven't been around these forums for a year or two, so i was wondering if this is a fair price or if i could get more out of it? i paid 1200 for it. it also has some nice strap locks on it and will have a new set of strings and i'll set up the action to their preferance. fair price or not?
NOTE: i'm selling this to prolly buy a more blues oriented electric. i've warm myself out of playing crap with sweeps for 5 mins and tremelo picking for 10 minutes. not that i hate sweeps, but i find more skill and a much more pleasurable sound in listening to a well played sweep in a blues or jazz song then a boring prog sweep followed by a song that sounds like everyother shred solo. also, i need money for a fishman acousitc amp and a nicer mic as i'm starting to play solo gigs and some more mellow john mayer trio rock stuff and i need better equipment for this genre.
oh yeah... and i think that jems and uv's play SLOWWWWWW! i'd love to have me a jem10th though! but nothing compares to the wizard II of my rg
thanks alot for your help all!!! keep rocking the ibanez!!
