The value of a not so "MINT MINT MINT" 777 LNG

Horrible headstock logo, no case, no back plate with signature. No name stamped on the neck. Average amount of fretwear. What's it worth? The previous owner scrubbed away the logo with a chemical cleaner of some sort.

That's a tough question. What made it unique is kind of gone. Seeing the palm rest is really cool. Its going to be whatever someone is willing to pay.

If it were for sale I personally would pay about 1200-1500, but that's just my reaction to seeing it. Hopefully no offense taken.

Like I said no offense. To me the value is in it being original and mint. With no case or paperwork, and the Vai signature gone that's what I would offer shooting from the hip.

Logo can be replaced easely,as well as the backplate,no problemo!
Stress cracks,no problem to. comes with almost every Jem.(ibanez)
The only thing that devaluates the guitar for me is the trem.

Is there some brace mounted over the trem,or is it a whole other trem.????

For shure there are 2 extra screwholes in the body, and what more if you take the trem off(or brace, whatever it is?)

That brace as you put it is what makes the guitar worth more money. That is an original palm rest that only came on very early JEM models. I think Gibson holds a patent on it and did the we will take you to court for patent infrigment, so Ibanez discontinued the palm rest. Might I also add that one of the knobs is not original.

that brace probably adds a good third to half again in value lmao.

ummmm are you guys for real ?

The Palmrest is what makes it valuable. Only a few Jems eneded up getting released with the Palmrest..... Do not take off the palmrest

There is nothing wrong with this LNG....

Evidently nobody is reading anything.

The rest is a $500 premium, unless the guitar is completely trashed because if it is, nobody cares about it anyway. It only adds serious value when combined with truely desireable condition and "package", case, paperwork, warning card, all the little things it's supposed to have. Then like coins, the higher the condition grade the higher the value.

A close up of the bridge, and one of the nasty dents on the front. Pretty small one though. Poor baby....

but idk if its the lighting...or just the fact that its hard to get accurate pics of neons, but the finish in the majority of the pics, especially the ones at the top of the thread, like the paint looks olive-green...just kinda off i guess.

Any word on a possible value? I'm hearing around $1500 or so. I've seen original hang tags from 87' that price the guitar at around $1500. I think the logo, and lack of signature is what puts most people off
