Question volume change in JEM 7VWH

Hello everybody, I have a JEM7vWH guitar, when I change the pickup selector, my output volume changes too which is normal. But I have noticed that 2 and 3 positions (counting 1 on top and 5 on the bottom of the pickup selector) have less output volume.

Is this a problem with my guitar or is this behavior normal in the JEM 7VWH?

thank you in advance.

thank you funkdubious for your answer.

I have a JEM 555WH too, the volume changes in the 2 and 3 position are lower than in the jem 7VWH. Maybe it's normal in JEM 7VWH.

Re: volume change in JEM 7VWH

its supposed to be a normal thing coz the humbucker is splitted and mixed with the single coil in the middle... so its normal, and its supposed to be that way so you can clean some of your sound if you have a crunchy sound...
