Volume difference between bridge and neck pickups

My Jem 77fp has Dimarzio Evolution pickups (DP158 on the neck and DP159 on the bridge). It has huge volume difference between the pickups. Despite the fact that the neck pickup is set high it sounds thin and weak. I think that there is something wrong and I'm kind of desperate because of this. I don't have any idea is it normal and how these pickups sound on other jems but this volume difference doesn't sound normal to me at all.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

(I tried to upload pictures of wiring, pickup height and soundclip of the bridge/middle/neck pickups but since I'm new to this forum I do not have permission to post links.)

Re: Volume difference between bridge and neck pickups

If it sounds like a single-coil probably one of the bobbins´wire has broken. The only solution is to replace the whole pick-up if so.

Re: Volume difference between bridge and neck pickups

Yes, sounds like one coil is busted (broken coil wire inside the pickup). Have it measured at a guitar center.
