what do people pay for a pyramid inlay neck?

Although rare I was wondering if anyone knows what they go for?

I know it cost quite a bit for a conversion from a RG550 neck.

What can one expect to pay for a used neck?

How much does it cost for a conversion.

I paid $100 for a square heel neck - Bought the AIG parts precut fingerboard and inlays. I think tha was $50.

Any help would be great!

Don't forget to but the frets, a radius sanding block, sandpaper, 2-part epoxy, fret files, leveling file, etc...
I've done a few of these, and I'm currently doing a vine for my purple Jem build. You can follow along in my blog, as all of the procedures and techniques will be covered. It's a pretty easy project, but make sure you have all of your tools and supplies together before you begin. Here are a few "teaser pics," so you get an idea of what I'm doing:

I know I am currently feeling the pain of all of that but even getting a relative "good deal" on that stuff I have $375 in the neck alone

and ....now that I got it done, it looks great, but I am thinking "what did I just do? LOL

I haven't even painted the body, headstock , all that I have spent on the parts...

PS, if anyone needs a nice fretted rosewood board takeoff I have one

True, True, but past experience says use the right person, with the right tools for the job. I suck at stuff like that the guy that did it for me has been doing this stuff for 20+ years. He actually did the job for what a normal refret costs. I can post some pics soon

I can do the wiring, setups, fix cracked necks/headstocks but when it comes to junking an original square heel neck It wasn't worth it.

Used necks can go for silly money, because they are rare.

Rich sometimes has some www.ibanezrules.com

Alaska is right. Once you learn to do this stuff yourself anything is possible.

Although on the other hand, making customs is never cheap, but you get out what you put in IMHO

Re: what do people pay for a pyramid inlay neck?

The tally so far is

Neck $375
Perle Body $100 Picked it up on the forum
for parts donation RG570 $300
Pickups $125
PAint - already have some

I think it will be sub $1000 but still it will not be a real one - I could buy some choice guitars for that ready to go - but most of them bore me

Now what color?.... I have neons in Green (LNG) yellow, pink, orange, chartreusse and seafoam green!
