what the hell?

Hi guys, was wondering if people could explain this to me please.

http://cgi.****.co.uk/IBANEZ-JEM-7V-...QQcmdZViewItem

i have to admit to don't know that much about the various jem models other than the current jem and the 777's so is this real or just somthing they've painted up to look like a 777 LNG? It says it has evo's in it and the bridge is wrong etc so it clearly isnt a 777 also the price is stupidly low.

Thanks guys,

p.s sorry if its a stupid question, to me it must just be somthing somone's made. but i'll probably buy it either way and do it up myself.

Re: what the hell?

Well, it's not a real Jem, but I think you knew that...
The pyramids on the neck should start with a full pyramid on the third fret.
The trem looks like a floyd copy
I'd be careful as some of the chibanez guitars are really poor quality even as far as having no truss rod in the neck!
Jim
P.S. be vary wary of this...
"Buyers are responsible for additional COD charges, VAT, Customs fees, and Duty for importation (if any). We ONLY handle the shipping to you."
who knows what COD charges you could be liable for!!!!

Also nearly all the people who left positive feedback are no longer registered on 3bay!!!

Re: what the hell?

Yuck. Wrong finish. Wrong pickups. Wrong inlays. Wrong hardware. Monkey grip in wrong place. Badly fitting pickguard. No string retainer bar. Reported to e-Bay.

Re: what the hell?

I find this stuff pretty amazing actually...

They got through so much trouble to make what's essentially a copy, yet they completely flub all the minor details that they could easily correct (pyramids in the wrong place, etc).

True, but that is probably the very least of its problems.

Re: what the hell?

thanks guys, i didnt reallise the copy's were that bad, i thought after going through to trouble to copy somthing so unique it'd still be of reasonable quallity (i was going to improve it and get it swirled). yeah, i knew it was a copy, i have a 777 so the gave it away straight away, just didnt know if there was an older jem it was supposed to be a copy of.

Thanks again,
James

Re: what the hell?

Not to mention there could be dangerous Fire Ants dwelling inside. You could be playing then all the sudden you leg goes numb and soon after that your covered with ants all because you bought a chibanez.
