What is this JS?

Just went to my local music store and found this JS. Its probably nothing special but i know very little about JS guitars.

Its a kind of sparkle black finish
Lo-Pro
it says JS Custom on one of the top frets.
Made in japan
serial : 003173

Any ideas?

Thx

Sounds like a JS1000BP...maybe a mid-90's model judging from the plaque inlay.

Rich?

One more question about this guitar...... sorry to bother you again........ How much would you say it should be worth. Im afraid i have no photos but its pretty battered, however its all working fine.

Battered, and the inlay plaque makes it fairly undersirable, around $500 normally, but with the 02' BP's blowing out at $699, even that would be a tough sell right now.
