Re: What is the MOST (or least) anyone has payed for a Jem/uv? Model needed ;)

Wait a second, are you working for my wife????? I knew it! IT's A TRAP!

Most I ever payed was for my DNA, seconded only by my Jem 10th. Sadly I bought them late in the game, and had I bought them when they were released I could have saved a pretty penny. But who cares, they will never be for sale and I love em!!!

Best deal I ever got was my GMC. Bought off a guitar store wall (New!) around 1993....paid $999 as it was a "closeout", which at the time was a lot of money for me. Had no idea it was rare or would someday command 3-4x that, I just thought it was way cool. I still have it!

Most; $1600 JEM LNG #70 - 2007

Lows- Jem 7VWH-$1000, Jem 777DY-$800, Jem 777PK-$800, Jem 7BSB-$700 -------These all were bought between 2007-2009

So yeah, you can get them cheap if you are patient and keep your eye's open.

Oh and yes, I flipped everyone of them

Hmm..i think this has the makings of a very interesting thread, but i feel that the title should be...'What is the MOST (or least) anyone has payed for a Jem/uv? Model......Recently!!!'

I bought a new Jem 77 FP back in 1991 for £1025.00, which relative to my income at the time, was a huge amount of money and required a loan from the bank.
I think i was earning approx £9,500 a year at the time, so it cost me more than a tenth of my annual income!!!!

So, although that was not my most expensive Jem in terms of overall price, it certainly was expensive in relation to my income at the time.

My cheapest ever Jem was a 77 BFP which i picked up for £650 back in 2005 (wish i still had it!!). I sold it 12 months later for £1100, so no complaints on that one :-)

Re: What is the MOST (or least) anyone has payed for a Jem/uv? Model needed ;)

All this information is totally useless without the date that you made the purchase. The value of Jems have fluctuated greatly over the years. I great deal at one time might be a terrible deal another time.

The most I ever bid on a Jem was this May on a totally mint SK. I bid $3700 and thankfully lost. The guitar ultimately sold for $4050 and then less than a month later I got almost as nice of an SK for $1550.

Least I ever spent was $830 last year for an '89 FP.

Re: What is the MOST (or least) anyone has payed for a Jem/uv? Model needed ;)

(CDN $ of course...)
Least to date: $650 for well-used LNG (talked them down from $1,000 due to work needed)
Close second: $750 for immaculate 7FP...

Most to date: $2,400 for new in the box Jem7VWH.

Interesting thread... the $120 BSB is certainly impressive indeed...
