What pickups should I get?

Hi guys,
Okay, I'm after your opinions. I am building a Universe copy with a maple neck and fingerboard, and ash body. I'm going to put a H/S/H pickup set in it as per a normal UV, but what humbuckers do you reckon I sould go for? I love the switching on my current UV, where the bridge humbucker is selected with the single coil, and will certainly copy this. The sound I go for is quite a high gain, not toppy like ACDC, but not all tuned down heavy and dark like any EMG equipped guitar. I like a harmonically rich sound, with plenty of usable feedback - a balanced tone, not scooped mids or bass or treble heavy, but a broad, bright tone; you get where I'm coming from . So my questions are: my current UV has blaze humbuckers, but what is different about an evo, or air norton, etc? Any help would be appreciated, and I know this has been talked about quite a bit before - sound is just about the most personal, elusive, impossible to explain part of guitar playing, IMHO.
Thanks in advance for all your opinions,
cheers for now,

Both the Evolution and the Air Norton are going to sound more defined. The Evolution is definitely the hotter pickup, and it's a very gain-ish mid-range sound. The Air Norton is still a fairly high output pickup with more of a "scooped" sound to it. Kind of bassy too. That's what I think it sounds like anyways.

Whatever brand you decide to go with, I'd recommend looking for something a little darker to tame the brightness of that guitar.

After looking at the dimarzio website, I'm drifting towards having a tone zone 7 in the bridge and an air norton in the neck. Both seem to be a bit on the bassier side, and I get the feeling they would add more 'character' than just blaze pickups whithout losing the volume/power. Anyone got experience of these pickups? (I'm also half thinking of just air nortons in both positions, but what do you think?).
