What songs on Passion and Warfare use the 7th string?

Probably a dumb question and you'd think I'd be able to tell from listening, but no.

I thought "Animal" sounded lower than E, but I read somewhere else that that's played on the E string with a harmonizer adding a 5th below or something.

I'm under the impression that Steve doesn't use the 7 string anymore, but it was a big deal around the time of Passion and Warfare, so what songs was it used on? I know lots of nu metal bands and stuff use 7 strings with drop A tunings and stuff, but I'm curious how it was used on that album.

According to the tab I read, it is on the E string but adds chorus and harmonizer for the tone that on it. It sounds pretty legit when I play it, but just without the heavy sounds that's behind it. That is for Animal, at least. The tabs I see for For The Love of God say that he's using the Universe but nothing is played on the seventh string. I guess it's whateeeeeeev.

Liberty, live on Letterman is with a 7 string. Don't know about the album version.

Ah, but he does. Here's a video of him recording a track for his new album.

"For the Love of God" uses the 7th string for a short while. I think there are four notes on the low B string.

"The Audience is Listening", "The Riddle" and "I Would Love To" are also tabbed for a 7 string.

Re: What songs on Passion and Warfare use the 7th string?

_ the fast alternate picking on flog
_ the heavy riff of the audience is listening
_ the riddle
_ the rhythm on i would love to
_ arpeggios of touching tongues (S&R)

but liberty, erotic nightmare, the animal, and maybe ballerina where played on a universe too. donīt know about answers and the eventide experiments; sisters was recorded on a jem.

although no 7th string is used, the extra wood enhances the bottom end on those songs.

If you listen "The Riddle" you can hear very clearly the sound of the seventh string in some licks.

Was recorded on an old strat of his.

Other than that, excellent post, dude!

Also -
"The boy from Seattle" (ALS) was recorded on a new strat that he had purchased for $400.
