Question What is the value of this guitar??

Hi to all!!
Sorry for my english, but i'm from Italy!
I'm going to buy this guitar...i think is a JEM777VBK painted (terribly) like a gmc...
The conditions are perfect, and the serial number is 916807, so i think is from 1991.
What is the value of this guitar in your opinion??
Here's some photos:

Re: What is the value of this guitar??

I don't know anything about this guitar...
I know only that is played only a little (perfect condition) and it remains for many years closed on the hardshell.
It is painted professionally, but the colors are not so good (it is more yellow than green)..

Re: What is the value of this guitar??

That's what happens to the green where the paint thins out in spots. It is pretty obviously a real GMC. So either the guy selling it is an idiot advertising a $4000+ guitar as a $1500 guitar, or you are fishing for people to make you offers. If you have the chance to buy it, I would do so. And I would highly discourage anyone from making offers. But who knows, you could have found the deal of a lifetime. Grab it while you can if that is the case.

I'll second that. It's a real GMC. Buy it if you can. Out of curiosity, how much is the owner asking for it?

Re: What is the value of this guitar??

Sincerely,i've buyed this guitar at a little price...
The man at the guitar shop made this price 'cause he can't recognise it and he say that is a jem777 customized.
When i see the colors i believe that was a jem777vbk painted
Are you sure that is a gmc? I can made more photos

Re: What is the value of this guitar??

Take the neck off of it and look for the ATD stamp in the neck pocket, but yeah, that's a GMC.

Re: What is the value of this guitar??

Even if it doesn't have the ATD stamp (not all of them do), it'll still have the model number (Jem77gmc) stamped on the neck. I'd be really surprised if it wasn't a real gmc.

If it is mint and you want to sell it, you stand to make a large profit. I personally don't like the swirl, but some people will.

Re: What is the value of this guitar??

yep, pull the neck off, its the only way to really tell.

If it is a GMC, then its one of the worst GMC swirls i've seen, although thats not saying much since 99.9% of them suck anyways. One thing that gets me though are the water runs in the big green section, thats sloppy, too sloppy.

No need to take anything off - it's a GMC.
Anyone who knows anything about Jems will tell you so.

Congrats mate, nice score.
Even a VBK should have been over e700.
