what is the virdict?

Now that the dust has settled, what does everyone think about the JEM having the 5 piece laminated neck? Everyone seems to be just talking about the rosewood fretboard. I personally like the new 5 piece necks, and have always preferred rosewood. I Have a Carvin CT-6, and I wish I had gone with the optional rosewood fretboard.

Any thoughts on the feel, tone, look or stability?

Dino.... like you, I like the 5 piece neck and the added "meat" behind the nut. I don't get the change to rosewood though. Not that I don't like rosewood..... but the ebony will wear better over the years. I have a RG-1570 and wish it had the 5 piece neck.

I like the one piece necks, all my 7s have them except for one, my S 7420 which has a bubinga stripe in the middle, I love that neck. I recently played a 1527 and I really liked the 5 piece neck as well.
