Re: What's the deal with J-Craft

Thanks for the actual reply. I'm new to the Jem scene, I bought 5 Jems this month.

3 florals
1 PK
1 Desert yellow
1 blue swirl project non/jem

Debating the #318 LNG on ****, dont know if I want to pay $4500

1 floral, the Desert Yellow and PK should arrive here this week.

Re: What's the deal with J-Craft

Some would call that crazy, others would just call it GAS.

I'd be very hesitant to pay prime money for anything that comes with something stuck on it that's claimed it can be removed without trace. There's also nothing "just found" about that guitar, and the money is too high for a Chesbro package.

Re: What's the deal with J-Craft

yeah that's true hey. I like the LNG but everyone here seems to talk about the PMC's I have an assload of other guitars (when these arrive I think that will make the total 22) and I always wanted a jem. Stumbled upon a FP I liked, grabbed it, and then just kinda went from there LOL I really want a Root Beer one, and I missed out on one when I was on holidays. The girlfriend wanted to go for a walk, and I forgot and totally missed out on it.

Oh yeah, pics or it didnt happen

the white one is a chineese rip off that I'll give to my niece, she's 9 and it will be good enough. Lotsa kramer ferringtons (the tobacco sunburst is a 12 string), a double neck, a 74 gibson reverse firebird, couple classicals. Still waiting on a floral and a yellow and pink Jem to arrive next week. The 2 blue ones, the Pink one and the yellow one are all RG550s The white one I think is a RG750, has some nice black chrome hardware and I'm not sure what the other salmon colored one in the back is. I could go look. I know the white one is made in the USA. I scalloped the last 4 frets on all of them, except the blue on on the left. That one came a couple weeks ago and I still have to scallop it.

Re: What's the deal with J-Craft

Yeah the white one is a fake. When I bought the blue RG550 on the left, with the blue chrome pickguard it was included as a freebee. The guy selling both figured it was fake, since a buddy had given it to him, and he couldn't see his buddy giving him a real JEM. The check mark on the logo doesn't go off the neck, the tremolo is a copy of a floyd, not and Edge, and the last 4 frets aren't scalloped.

I haven't gotten around to setting it up. I figure I'll change the strings, set it up and then give it to my 9 year old neice and it can be her first guitar
