What's your favorite Jem?

This is a topic that's more or less geared toward owners of multiple Jems.
What's your fav? What makes it your fav? Is it the color, swirl, feel, or tone that makes it your fav?

I have to be totally honest... I own a DNA, UVMC, VWH, DY, PBK, and a 90th. The best sounding Jem is by far the DY. It's tone is simply killer. I can get tones out of that particular guitar that completely blow away all my other Jems, including my super expensive DNA. Maybe the PAF's and maple fretboard are the reason for the tone. My PBK has the PAF's and it sounds pretty good, but it does'nt sound quite as nice as the DY.

Playability: The DNA and the 90th are the easiest to play. I contribute this to the thinner neck and the aanj. The PBK is also very easy to play, until I slam into that bulky neck joint. I love playing the 90th, but it's tone is a bit muddy. I have to make major adjustments to my rig. The DNA never gets played mainly because I'm afraid to touch it. The few times I did play it though, it feels like butter. It's the nicest feeling Jem I own, and I still have'nt plugged it it to my set-up.

Looks: The DNA is stunning, but I feel the inlays are a little plain. Sure, it glows under a black light... but who really gives a [email protected]#%. The VWH is a beautiful guitar period, and the 90th is also a visually stunning guitar.

These are just my personal observations and I don't mean to insult anyone. I'm just looking to start an interesting thread that all of can benefit from. So... share your thoughts.

I own a Jem 77FP, Jem777DY, Jem10th.

My choice in playability is definately also the DY!! I prefer maple over rosewood and ebony.

The DY has the bluesiest sound of my jems. This is the sound and feel that fits me the most.
I like my FP because for clean parts this guitars has the sound for passion and warfare tunes.
The Jem 10 has the most agressive sound and is ideal for shredding. It has the lowest action of the 3. Ofcourse I could setup the others like this.

So I prefer as main guitar the DY.

For this reason I want to buy a BFP. It has the maple and looks better than the DY.

I'd have to choose my JEM777Sk. I love PAF's and maple necks, hopefully it'll have competition in the PMC coming from VWall Guitars........we'll see.

My favorite out of the box is the dbk.Now that I put a tz in one of my vwh's,its quickly becoming a favorite. The older jems with pafs did have a nice all around rock sound.I picked up a 93 vwh and for some reason the neck profile is a little thinner than more recent models, the evo's sound a little different also.Strange.

Mine is BFP, probably because of maple fretboard and PAF pros also. My BSB plays better and sounds better heavily distorted.

My favorite is probably the BFP because it has that awesome blue color and a maple fretboard. I love maple fretboards.

As I noticed, a lot of jemplayers like the maple fretboards.

Unfortunately there is no new jem with maple fretboard so I'll have to begg as loud as possible for new jemmodels with maple fretboard

Please...

Maple would be nice. I prefer the RB though. I have no problems at all with the old style neck joint. And it looks better than any of the newer models, more like a strat... Sorry. That was a serious crime.
