If Steve and the boys at Ibanez got together and designed an acoustic version of the JEM, like Fender's Stratacoustic. *Would you buy it?

Only if it had a Double Edge, the PMC finish, and the Monkey Grip.

I would rather see a Guild or Taylor signature model true acoustic, no hybrid type. I would buy one of those.

Well that would all depend on what the finished product was....(duh)....but personally I think an acoustic Jem is an exciting idea....maybe something like a better made Kramer Ferrington (they were all made in Korea...think 555)...but with a Jem slant to it....that would be cool and yeah, I'd buy one!

Interesting though! *Perhaps if Ibanez could expand on a nice Artwood acoustic platform, it may be worthwhile. *Maybe they'd go the route of Tacoma and adopt a non-standard soundhole position/shape-say in the shape of a monkey grip? *Could be...umm, unique to say the least!

Yeah! And the bridge could be in the shape of a Lion's Claw rout!

I think I may have caught a touch of the sun.

I think for it to be cool, it would have to be almost like a Les Paul, build on a block of wood but with sound chambers? *This way you actually have a trem, and typical Jem trademarks, such as the Lions Claw and Monkey Grip.

Hm, i think Ibanez did quite a good job with the SC-Classic.
I can't imagine how an acoustic jem would look like...i think it is too much of a modern electric guitar......Well, i am used to my Alhambra classical guitar.

since the basic premise of the topic was to assume they could do it, would you buy it? *I think there is some room to speculate this. *For instance, would they manage to keep the 24 frets? *I'd think so. *just imagine the nice rosetta and binding and inly work. *Or maybe it could just be hot pink

I would buy a Jem acoustic, IF they truely were a Jem. I consider Jem gts to have the following:
1) Stand out in a crowd / additude
2) Inovation not replication
3) Unique sound
4) Superior performance

If they had one of those in an acoustic (with a monkey grip) I would get one in a heart beat.
