Was it a Sharpie?

IMO, yes, ESPECIALLY if it was a Sharpie. The black will bleed it's way through the clear and will never be removable later [if someone so desired] and it's not like UV collectors would care to have one signed by JM.

seems to me it would have been better to ask before you had him sign it.

it depends on whether you intend to sell it. if you do, then it probably was a bad idea, yeah. However, if you are gonna keep it then it really doesn't matter, its up to you.

I'd still buy it off ya ... 50 bucks .. not a cent more

Seriously tho,I'm kinda thinking all sig's on guitars are a bad idea,I mean by all means sign a cavity plate etc,but otherwise your guitar is covered in scribble

Jim is a top guy tho,had the chance to meet him on a few occasions and i'm sure it won't have a detrimental effect on any re-sale value,But who knows for sure

Regards

Rob

k i was just kidding about him signing the front .he wouldn't sign it on the body so he signed the back plate.i hate it when people get their guitars signed on the body, there's only 1 person i'd let sign my guitar on the body and i think we all know who that is.
