Y'know, I see a lot of people say using bad gear puts you off playing in the long run, but it's not true...

I played on REALLY bad gear for a long time and dreamt about when I get some good gear, I'd be able to play well and everything would be good and right in the world. Even as a kid I knew I was paying my dues because my Dad played guitar since he was a kid and was finally getting the gear he wanted and I could literally SEE the appreciation he had for his gear.

Maybe it was the way how I was brought up, but the fun is mainly in the chase, am I right?

I mostly agree, but also if you just started playing you probably don't know exactly what you want either....
