Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased my first vintage jem about a year ago and fell in love with them. They play amazingly and the weakened PAF pickups sound so good.

The aesthetics are also so over the top...its awesome

This is a 1987 Jem 777 SK...plays and sounds just like it should.

Spent a good while looking for one that was nicely beat up so I don't have to feel like I'm destroying a priceless guitar haha.

Re: Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on the NGD!, totally agree about the battle marks so you can play it without any guilt, and the good thing is that the guitar still looks beautiful, and it will surely stand out if you play it live.

Re: Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats a hot looking guitar... and I'm not usually into pink ones. It just looks "right" on that one. Congrats!!

Guitar has some wear and tear, but the frets look good to go! Are they new?

Nah they have some wear. Thinking about getting it refretted with SS frets.

I just ordered a set of BKPs for this. A VHII in Emerald in pink

Re: Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats !!!! Be careful. Getting vintage Jem's it is highly addictive.
Will never forget back in september 2013 when i pick upped a SK just 20 minutes from my home in little Norway.

And addiction getting worse.

Saving money for the swirls now. I am afraid i will pay to much some day to complete
my collection.

Re: Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great score. Just looks so authentic and honest. So substitute for 'proper' wear/use.

Re: Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool geeetarrr, no doubt!

I used to have one and it had the chunkiest neck ( don't know if chunky is a proper term for Ibanez' necks e.g compared to a Gibson R8 ) of all of the Jems I had.
Good days those were...

Re: Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very cool stealth. I wouldn't call it beat up though. I think it has the appropriate amount of "character" for it's age.

If you haven't promised the PAF's to anyone yet, I'd be interested......

Yeah I like it much more than the regular ibanez carve.

There are more dings/paint chips than pictured, but yeah, its not super beat. I was looking for something even more worn, but this is 100% fine.

I think I am going to hold onto the PAFs just in case I change my mind, but I'll let you know if I do decide to sell them!

Mehtab is a great guy with great taste in guitars, but everything he posts seems like is underwritten with a tone of pure financial gain.

So the original pickups might be awesome, but they're not as awesome as the pickups that are about to be fitted (and will be in there when you can buy the guitar for just a few hundred more than he paid for it )
