You cant fool me!
lol some guy tried fooling me on myspace for a jem. I posted an add saying..well basicly what i've always said i'll take any jem ya know (except 555). and he replies i have a jem for sale 700$ and i said hmm show me some pictures. so he does and its one of those "Chibanez" jems.

lol actually after further discussion with him,he said he didnt know it was a fake. and when i asked him how much he payed he completly got off subject and said something totally other than what we we're discussing

A good example of a seller with intentionally poor pictures trying to pass off a fake for a real JEM.

the dead giveaway (other than "MIK") was the trem arm. Alos, the placement of the word 'Jem' on the headstock.

I've got to admit, whilst that guitar isn't fooling anybody, that is probably the closest I've seen a fake come to the real deal.

The Ibanez swoosh looks better than most, as does the monkey grip... but the rest of the guitar is an obvious fake... wrong shapes on the vine, pigeon poop on fret 24, wrong tremolo...
It wouldn't be too difficult to pass this off as the real deal... the fakes have really eroded the used JEM market.

The shape of the pickguard (around the knobs) is disgusting too.
