$1700 to use???

can you list some guitars in the $1700 AUS price range or $1000 US price range thanks?
i play stuff like van halen, yngwie malmsteen, Steve vai, Joe satriani, metallica, and around those genres.

I say you save a bit of money and go for the BC rich Retro Gunslinger, Original floyd, dimarzio pups Sweet colours, maple boards. A shop around melbourne said theyre coming in december and the single pickup retalis for $999! AUD!

Anyone own or play one of these newer Charvels yet? How's the workmanship and materials? I've heard the Floyd's are not of the highest quality?
