The 1077XL is here!

It has arrived! Well, it arrived on Saturday, but pics came now, so shush. I'm in love. She got here quite speedily, although the case was cracked pretty badly in transit, I'm working with the sender on that now. The notes just jump off the fretboard. There's a slight bit of slack on the low B, but nothing remotely close to me having a complaint about. The overall tone is a bit scooped, but still very bright on the high-end. Overall an amazing piece.

I wish I had bigger hands so that buying one of those babies for myself would actually make sense!!!

Well, in all honesty, for me at least, the scale length is barely noticable unless going for a major run starting from the first fret, otherwise it's still pretty comfy! The notes are so punchy...Especially so for clean work!

I'm not sure. I just got the guitar Saturday and still has the strings it was shipped with. Maybe 54-56?

You might want to try a 58. There's really no reason why your low string should flop with a 27 inch scale length.

BTW, beautiful guitar.

It doesn't really flop per se, but it also lacks a little "pop," so I might check out the 58. Thanks a bunch, Jim!

does anyone else here have a 1077xl?

how much do they usually sell for used?

im not normally a big fan of the RG style, but i really like it with the full body and neck binding.
