1989 RG760 value

Hey, this is my first post here. Back in '92, I bought a used RG760 in lipstick red that the clerk thought was some lesser model. He sold it to me with a Fender amp for around $300.

It's been my main guitar for quite a while, although now I own a few more. I never could understand why it always seemed to be so much better playing and sounding than the other, more expensive guitars I was "upgrading" to. Then I did a little research, and the "cheap" Ibanez I had turned out to be an RG760.

I'm not sure what the market thinks about the color, but everything is original. It has paint cracks by the neck and a couple small dings. It's got the IBZ pickups in HSS, the Wizard neck with Sharktooth inlays, and the Edge trem.

I've looked around, and cannot find a single other RG760 MIJ (that's not black) on the market. I've been wanting to get another, I like this one so much. But I'm wondering: What would I value this one at, and what should I expect to pay for another one, in a different color?

Re: 1989 RG760 value

I just purchased a close-to-mint '89 760 (black) from its original owner. I paid $600 w/original hard case. I've seen others in various colors sell for $500-$750 depending on condition.

Little late but.... I paid 600 for a near mint graphite color 760 2 years ago. Might look on the bay at ended auctions to better determine what the current market is at.
