2 questions - one quick one not so quick

Hey guys I know weve talked about it, but to tell you the truth i really wasnt paying attention. What 7-string guitars are available for lefties. I know its not much, and im sorry i havent been paying attention but its becuase im not left handed. My new guitarist is.

Ok second question. Have any of you guys been playing in bands who use both 7 and 6 stringers at the same time. Ive done it befor, but if you guys have any sugestions on how you do it, or how you can write music to utalize it. I would be honored to hear *any of them.

Ok i think thats all i have to say. I like to leave these posts open-ended. It always seems to get more variety that way.
thanks for any suggestions

Orgy does that. I'm guessing most at this forum don't play that type of music but thought it might help a little.

I played with some guys for awhile and the other guitar player didn't have a 7-string... (nor did he want to use my extra one at first)

The first two songs we wrote had me playing on the 7-string and him playing a drop-d tuned 6-string. *I played the main riff of the songs on the 3rd fret low D and grabbed the lower notes while he played high melodies. *Other parts we harmonized where I chugged the low-b riffs and he was an octave up.

E-mail me if you wanna check out the tracks. *I think the singer is atrocious, so I won't post the link publicly.

Orgy's 6 string guitarist is more into synths and stuff like that. He never plays rhythm stuff...Thats for Ryan, the other dude. I don't really like Orgy but I do know their backround somewhat.

I know this other band...oh what was their name...Union Underground I think? Their main guitarist plays a B.C Rich 7..While the other plays a Les Paul. But I think in that case the 6 stringer tunes down to B w/o the high E. Not positive tho...And that sure would be one way to do it.

Or you could do what Ryan did and just play along at the same pitch and if you drop below what the 6 can do on the 7, then just have the 6 go an octave up. blah confusing just look at ryans post hehe
