Yes, the RG570 is predecessor...
The RG1570 gets the "prestige" neck profile, and 5 piece construction, the "All Access Neck Joint" or AANJ, and the "Edge Pro" tremolo and non-locking studs.
Plus there is the fact that the wood/hardware is higher quality on the prestige. And there are 7 or 9 extra hand steps taken on a prestige neck - fret ends, fret leveling and such.
The RG570 gets the older "wizard" profile, and a scarf joint, either the older plate joint (or the AANJ), and the original "Edge" and locking studs.
