2005 J Custom, what type/model?

Hi all,

I have the oppertunity to trade in a G&L S500 for this Ibanez J Custom. I was wondering if you guys could perhaps spot what type it is? When I google J Custom I only get the new models. It looks really cool, I like the natural wood finish. It's neckthrough, has Dimarzio pickups and it's from 2005 though there's not much else the dealer can tell me.

Here's the link to the store page:
https://www.rjvguitars.com/product/2...ely-fat-sounds

Do you guys think this trade would be a good deal? Anything worth knowinga bout the guitar that you guys can tell me?

Thanks in advance!

Wow depending on the condition which sounds pretty good, that is an insane deal on a J.Custom! Do it! Do it now!... I mean if you like the guitar you should do it.

I sold one for $1200 in 2006. It's an HRG1NT

HRG1 is a different guitar. This is a JCRG-1S.

That was identified at the time from the j custom fan site. If another site says it's something different now, I'll say maybe.

Yup, I had 2 of those also, listed as HRG1VV's. Just goes to prove my archives may not be as accurate as I'd like [still identified off the jc fan site contemporaneously]

Re: 2005 J Custom, what type/model?

It looks like it's a JCRG-1s then, thanks for the help guys. The HRG1 looks like a totally different guitar on the Wiki page.

I contacted him about trading in my guitar for this one, fingers crossed.

Only took 12 years for someone to call you stupid!

I know, I put the Edit in and left all the rest. But it was still identified off JCF
