Re: 20th Anniversary RG?

I think they need a normal version and a maple variant, that way everyone gets what they want

Re: 20th Anniversary RG?

But on the other hand, plain black with a maple board would look very sweet

it would but I'VE already got one in the form of a RG1550.

suppose 2 can't hurt. by the look of the current trend in a few years time every ibanez will be black

Re: 20th Anniversary RG?

Lol....I hear ya Bikeman (like....get some variety already) but I'd take a maple board with black over any other color with rosewood

Re: 20th Anniversary RG?

NOOO!! Ibanez no black please

A little story.........Last weekend i had my 750FA at the music store trying out a few amps. The was this young kid (15-16) working there part time, he had never seen any of the neon colours before and totally flipped out over the FA, saying " oh boy, i'd love to have that colour, it's great".

So Ibanez, get your heads out of the sand, and release anything other than black, i think you'd be suprised at how many young people and us older folks would snap them up with a maple fretboard. And, if you aren't daring enough to do this, at least consider releasing a LB, that's not an outlandish colour

Re: 20th Anniversary RG?

I'd be happy with ebony too!. As long as the guitar isn't black.

Re: 20th Anniversary RG?

If it's gonna be the 20th RG anyway, i think a fair one is a RG770Dx tribute, since it's the TOP of RGs, IMHO.
I'd love to see a re-released RG770DX with NEON colors, maple board and matching colored pickups and sharktooth.

Re: 20th Anniversary RG?

I deffinately think that the 20th should be a throw back to the olden days of the RG rather the new image that its only had for the last 3 years!, as aposed to the image it had for the first 17 years!
