Yes. From '87. It's a favorite. The photo is with a cheesy camera and doesn't show the color well.

I like the one at the back with the skull graphic. I'm not a Satch fan but I'd like one of those.

You don't have to be a Satch fan. In fact, these all came *before* Satriani adopted the model as his own and changed the body to suit his vision. The last two are the original body style with the shorter horns. The first 4 are the next style with the sleekest and most appealing lines and comfort IMO. Then came Joe's version which got all swollen looking like elvis in the later days. No JS series for me, man. Bring back the original Radius.

hell yea! i'd love to see them with maple fretboards, maybe a 24 fret extension. though that would destroy the strat feel. i love the red and turqoise

Re: A 20th that I might be interested in

Someday I'll take a group shot of mine, and then you'll see what a Radius collection should look like.

I'd be all over a 20th of the Radius, but this should have been the year. Since we saw the RG550's come back, I think we all know the sad truth. They aren't coming back soon.

They could do a 2008 20th, with a 5-way switch since that's the year the Radius really gained traction, and it was slightly reshaped. But I don't know that they'd sell enough. Then again, they're making only 1987 of the 550's? I would think if they did that many Radii they'd sell them easy.

That's what makes it even better, because technically I can lay claim to both collections in my head.

And when you die, or become too old and slow to defend yourself, I'll be right there to take them all back. haha.

The only way Ibanez will bring the radius back is if Joe leaves Ibanez. Nice guitars though.
