3xNGD - Jack's Carvin spring in full swing

Guess I can't leave the old stomping grounds without some NGD love. Here's 3 out of my 4 new Carvins so far. Last is due next week.

3 posts to get all the pics in.

DC127

Seafoam Green
Satin Matte Finish
Maple Neck/Mahogany Body
Black Hardware
Large Black Carvin Logo
Reverse Pointed Angled 6s Headstock
No Top Inlays - Side Dots Only
Stainless Med-Jumbo Frets
S22 pickups with coiltaps

Apparently, seafoam green is a pain to photo so please excuse.

Damn Jack....I can't pick a fav....but I'm leaning toward the 727. They're all amazing!!

Any comments on the different "22" pups???
I love the clean boards on all of them......very classy looking. I'm assuming the 727 is ebony as well?

Nice! Definitely a different direction from what the 3120 is hehe. I'm liking the CT a lot. One of there days I'm gonna get me a Carvin as well.

727? I think you meant 127.

Hmm...the different 22 pickups. Well, Most of my Carvins have had the S22 covered pickups which I fell in love with for the warm, smooth tone especially when distorted. The C22's in the CT424 are allegedly a bit hotter and I can hear it from the short time I had to play it. The H22's are specially wound for Holdsworth so I figured I'd try them out and they are amazing. I didn't think they would sound all that great distorted but they do. Insane sustain.

Played for about two hours last night and it's so light and comfortable. The Axstar I had wasn't really balanced well so I was always adjusting the strap when I played it standing up. The HH2 if perfectly balanced and doesn't move around when you're playing. It's a thing of beauty.

I still have enough guitars that have near the specs of my old 3120. The CT series has really become my favorite. Once I sell off the few remaining Ibby's I'll probably get a DC400 with Floyd and that'll be enough for me and my collection will be down to a more manageable number and not hoarding like I was last year.
