50s Les Paul

Haven't been around for a while because of school and work but not things have calmed down. Though I would share my latest project.

This is a mid 50s Les Paul I bought off a costumer while working in a music store in Nashville while in college for $200. It had a partial conversion from the p 90s to PAFs and they replaced the tail piece with a bigsby. I had fixed it enough for it to play but it always needed a bit of restoration. Two months ago I went down to the Gibson repair shop and had them finish the conversion with vintage pickups, replace the truss rod and file the frets.

Re: 50s Les Paul

Left the original lacquer alone despite areas of wear.... Think it adds character.

Re: 50s Les Paul

Like the sustainer. I think you have to use the neck pickup though...hard to remember as I installed it a while ago. Sound is very good.clear tone. Works great. Love the feedback feature. It was hard to install though as everything related to the knobs and switches is on a circuit board. Tis used to be a single pickup guitar with a single volume knob and no tone or swtiches so this was a perfect guitar to install it on.

I don't know the price because I won it at the JEMFEST raffle.
