540 Radius/ JS

Hello,
Could anyone tell me what the differences, if any, between a current Joe Satriani model and a 540 Radius from the early nineties are?
Thanks

1st: do a forum search on Radius, there's bee a lot of posts about it

2nd: the JS comes only with HH, the Radius was avaiable with HSS, HSH, HH. The output-jack is in a different place... I think the JS is a little bit lighter (so I am not sure on that one). Early Radius came all with the Ultra-Neck and EDge (or LowPor) Trems, AFAIK just some of the late models were avaiable with Vintage-Trems.

Radius are far cheaper to get on Ebay then JS

The JS's I had weighed as much or more than the Radiuses I had. Of 6 radiuses & 2 JSes, the lightest was an '87 radius. The range was within .75 pound for all, though. The JS body is SUPPOSED to be slightly smaller (so slightly lighter would make sense, though it didn't work out that way for me). But the radiuses I had varied slightly in size and shape, with a couple of them being visually indistinguishable from the JS when compared side by side.

There are more color options, too, though in the used market you take what you can find. Necks were ultra or wizard on the LTD models.

Radiuses generally are a good deal on eBay, going for $300-$400, but occasionally there are some expensive ones (one is on there now looking for $500).

That is what I meant, and try to say, but I didn't find the words... the body being smaller (slightly)... but 'small' wouldn't come to my mind...
