570 or 750 0r 770 - Whats the difference?

Seeing various pictures of peoples RG's (570 and 750 or the 770) they all look very similar. Whats the difference? For instance they all - seem - to have the same shark tooth neck and either lo pro or edge trem. Is it the pickups that are different? Could someone help?

There are 4 differences between the RG5xx series and the RG7xx series.

1. RG7xx had the shark tooth inlay.
2. RG7xx had better pickups.
3. RG7xx had a different neck plate like those seen on Jacksons and Kramers.
4. RG7xx had a bound neck.

Other than that, the guitars were the same.

What Jimm said plus on the RG 550 the trem cavity is a full 1/8" deeper than the RG 7XX series...

I must've lucked out then, as the body of my RG750 is stamped 550 in the neck pocket..

I always thought that they used the same bodies, just switched the neck and electronics..

One other thing though, the 7xxs had the LoPro trem right after it(the trem) was first produced, while the 5xx were still sporting the Org Edge (until '93, when the 570 and 550DX had the LoPro)..

Im not sure of what the model number is but one of my friends has and 87 or 88 series rg, 700 series but we arent sure of the year. *It had the 2 single coils in the neck and the hummer in the bridge. *Anyways it has a deeper trem route than the 500 series. *I havent taken measurements, but it had a noticeable difference and since the springs were old the trem had some nice flutter going on. *What are the trem cavity depth differences between the korean and japanese rgs, and the jems? *and which is necessarily better?
