The 7-string Emerald has finally arrived

I ordered this weeks ago and it got waylaid in shipping. It finally arrived today and just as a bonus it has a newly redesigned and improved peghead. It's not as loud as I was expecting from such a large guitar but it is very well balanced with an even transition to my low A.

Both the body and neck.

Day two and so far all is well. One thing about the carbon fiber, it's incredibly stable. It simply stays in tune, including the low A.

Looks nice Jim, I like the more modern styling on an acoustic. That's not something you see everyday, and it being a 7 aswell is a bonus (I must try to get an acoustic 7 string, I only have a 6 string and it just sits there not being played).

Re: The 7-string Emerald has finally arrived

Hey I did a search on emerald guitars as I thought it was you (Jim Soloway) who had ordered one.

I'm seriously contemplating buying one of these myself for my 18th birthday (with a little bit of help from mum and dad - lol!) and am dying to hear some clips of one. Have you recorded anything at all? Or if you wouldn't mind..could you record a few chords?

Is that the X10 model? I'm thinking of getting one of those, i'm just wondering what the difference is between the X10 and the Fusion model besides the pickup and equalizer. The artisan looks gorgeous but it's just too expensive.

Also one last question, what is that headstock inlay made out of? It looks really nice, is it some kind of stone or plastic?

Thanks!

EDIT: I've also put a question in to see if I can get a custom Kingfisher Green colour on an X10

Re: The 7-string Emerald has finally arrived

Does anyone know of any professional soundclips of this guitar (as in used on a pro recording session). I'd love to hear what they sound like in the hands of a qualified sound tech/engineer.

I'm not at all set up for recording acoustic, but here's a clip I did on my Tascan 788 using the piezo.
