Those are two radically different guitars and choosing between them is a conceptual choice much more than a choice of value or quality. They're both good instruments, but do you want a trem and if so do you want a locking trem? Do you want a 24 3/4 inch scale or a 25 1/2 inch scale? Do you want a rounded neck or a flat neck? And of course, finally, do you want a 6 string or a 7 string?

welcome to the forum but edit your "location" to a valid one and don't crosspost

this is as easy as asking do you want a 6 or 7 string if choosing between these two axes... bit it seems like there are a whole lot of other options too....glen

I like the tremolo...etc yet

If it were me I would buy the 7 string. It's a really good guitar (7620) and it will expose to a whole new kind of guitar and way of playing. Also, you can still play all the six string stuff on the 7.

I said it for a joke lol, So it looks like my joke backfired......on ME!!!!!

I don't know how you spell it. It's written on my bass somewhere, but I havn't seen the damn thing in so long I can't renember how it's spelt.....

On the grounds that I hate gibsons for their chunkiest of chunky necks and thier 24 3/4 scale necks I'l say the 7 string,

Why? becasue I can, nuff said.

Just so no-one gets mad, you should realize that pretending to be somebody you're not, particularily Steve Vai, is against the rules and can lead to banning

Go with the 7620, get rid of the row boat paddle [/quote]
