7001 case avenue neckplate

hello,
Maybe this question has been asked before but i couldn't find anything about this in google.
I have a RG 565 that has a neckplate saying "7001 case avenue North Hollywood". All my other Rg from the 80's and early 90's have a normal ibanez Neckplate with only IBANEZ written on it. Does anyone knows what is the story behind this.
I live in Europe so maybe I was thinking that the "north hollywood" neckplated rg's were the ones for the American Market and the normal neckplated rg's were the ones for the European market. Can anyone confirm or be more accurate?
Maybe it's a stupid question I don't know...
By the way, what happened to the "7001 case avenue in North hollywood" Is it still a valid home adress or an "adress unknown" place?

Why would a 565 have a Case ave. plate on it? I don't ever remember hearing about 5xx's going through the H&S shop. Unless maybe it was for pickup installs?

Obviously they got the date wrong (should be 1987) but were the Roadstar Pro guitars actually made in the US or just designed there? The '87 and I believe '88 will have a standard IBANEZ neck plate while later ones with have a Bensalem or Japan plate.

The Pro Custom would soon evolve into the "USA Custom", an extensive lineup by H&S that could be custom made to order. Certain other guitars such as the RG770 had their pickups installed there before being shipped to Ibanez dealers in America.
Every square-heel USA Custom I've seen has had a Bensalem neck plate. But I didn't make this connection with the 700 Series. 500 Series always had the plain IBANEZ plate but 700 Series had a Bensalem plate usually. My '93 RG770 had a Japan plate and I believe a '92 RG760 I recently saw had a Japan plate as well, so I assumed that they stopped assembling these in the US.

So what guitar would have come with a North Hollywood plate? Would it be an RG 7XX produced late '90 or '91?

I found a number of pictures of the backs of RG565's and they all had the standard 5XX plate on there. Maybe the OP has a 765?

EDIT: found some shots of the plate on a 765...not that either. Maybe the plate was just worn and the previous owner just replaced it with something he found on eBay? I have a North Hollywood plate and I'm pretty sure that's where it came from.

Re: 7001 case avenue neckplate

Here's a thread about a '92 RG770 with a North Hollywood neck plate:

http://www.jemsite.com/forums/f18/rg...-a-111389.html

I found some other stuff about 540S and 540R guitars of the same age with North Hollywood plates.

So basically there'sa nothing extremely special about a North Hollywood plate, it probably just came from an RG750/760/770, 540S or 540R produced from late 1991 through 1992 or maybe into 1993.

The RG750, RG760 and 540R were discontinued after 1992 and my '93 production RG770 had a Made in Japan plate, so at some point, they stopped assembling guitars at H&S.

This makes sense because the USA Custom line also disappeared after 1992. The link Rich provided doesn't really give any dates in this range, but most of H&S's work ends after 1992 and Bunker states that he started producing the USRG guitars in late 1993 for a 1994 release.
