7621 or 7620?

Hi, I'm new to the jem site, and the header is referring to my confusion. I've seen guitars listed as both, and both with the neck stripe running vertically down the neck. I'm sure you guys know better than I and have a wealth of information on these guitars/guitar. haha. Also i'm intending on buy either this or a 7420. which do you guys prefer?

Thanks,
PrestonStrings

7420 requires too many upgrades, just go for 76XX and save you self some time. 7620 with pull-off only "mode" for tremolo is a wonderful guitar - good tone and easy setup.

7620 has a trem, 7621 is a hard tail. They are both better versions of the 742X guitars.

7620, better trem and pickups than a 7420.
7621 better pickups than a 7421. All the specs are available here on Jemsite.

From reading the specs on the 7420 and 7621 they appear almost identical. What are some user notes you guy's can say makes them different besides the p-ups?

HUH?

My 2 cents... get the 7620. You can always get a Tremol-no to make it a fixed bridge.

It's just the pickups and the trem on the models with a trem.
I just bought an RG7421 and when I pulled the neck off the neck said RG7621 and the body said RG7421. If you aren't getting a trem and plan to replace the pickups anyway you're better off saving some money and getting the 7421, if you plan on getting a model with a trem, spend the extra money of a 7620.

I bought a 7620 when they first came out, and I currently have a 7421, I can't complain about either guitar.

Re: 7621 or 7620?

Ok, at this point my options are a 7420 with a trem. Or a 7621 without one.. 7420 is lime green and the 7621 is orange..

7621-$370

7420-$380 The 7420 is in much worse cosmetic wear than the 7621.

Re: 7621 or 7620?

I guess it comes down to whether or not you want a trem.
It's easier to reroute for a better trem than it is to route a hard tail body for a trem.

If you want opinions I would go for the 7621 just because I have no use for trem systems, but as far as the neck, body, pretty much everything except what was previously mentioned, they are the same guitar.

For what it's worth, I just picked up my 7421 a month or 2 ago for $275. After I left the guys house I saw another one in a store for the same price. They weren't mint, but they weren't too bad either.

Tremol-no is a total rip-off... just an opinion, no verbal war here.

7620 would be best choice... OBVIOUSLY.

7620. love mine but, that said, have not played 7420. No tuning issues, pick ups sound great and easy to play.
