That Friedman guitar has been available since spring and i am yet to see one in any store anywhere.
I know of no-one that owns or has even played one, and i'm not surprised at the price.

ENOUGH with the picture-quoting! As far as the guitar goes - without fanned frets, I wouldn't like a low F# 8-string.

According to the Ibz rep who posts in the "comments to Ibanez" section, they consulted with the guitarists of Meshuggah over the design of the RG8 line, not just their own custom models. Kind of makes me worry that anyone who doesn't have big viking hands will be s.o.l.
