'97 rg neck
So, Hi everyone.
First post and I guess I need some posts before I can upload pics.
I bough my first RG today and can't figure out what model is if my life depended on it. It advertised as a 570 but I'm not so sure. It's a F97 serial # MIJ, purple color, but doesn't color shift unless you bring it from very bright light to dark. It has a Floyd Rose licensed trem, V7-S1-V8 pickups, AANJ, but has no bubinga stripe as stated in the '97 Ibanez catalog and and many pics I've found online of the '97 570. Does anyone know for sure if any '97 RG570 were made with a maple only neck?

Possibly an RG507JB.
The only way to know for sure is to pull the neck off and look at the stamps in the pocket and on the back of the neck heel.

It looks like it may be according to the '97 catalog. It's got the same hardware as mine. What's bugging me now is that my RG is exactly the same color as the RG470JB in the catalog photo whereas the 507JB photo is much more bluish. Theoretically, if they're both RG's of the same year and color code, they should be the exact same color...no?
