I love mine in terms of both playability and tone. *Plus..the appearance doesn't hurt either!

I picked mine up for $1500, and it's dead mint (w/ J Custom case). *The price that GuitarHanger has on their website is nothing short of comical: *$3500.00? *Now THAT is funny! *(retail was only $2499.00). *

I'm sure that's not a "realistic" price, but just be careful not to get ripped off. *$1500-1750 seems to be going rate for RG-ARTs lately.

I believe there is still an RG-ART for sale at JCS Guitars. He's asking $2250 but rumor has it that he wants to move it and I heard (though not confirmed) he'll take ~$1600. Here's the link:

Good luck! *

Are you sure JC Guitars still has that ART? *I know he had it on EBay awhile back...at least 6 months or more. *It hit reserve, so I'd assumed he sold it. *It's got some MAJOR wear and tear...some nasty chips, etc. *I wouldn't pay more than $1250 or so for it in the condition it's in. *

vaijem777: No. I have know idea if JC still has it. I just noticed it was still up on his web site - which of course means nothing.

If anyone knows where this ended up please let us know.

It's my favorite Ibanez, but I'll beat JC's price and let you have it for $2,249.95

It's a nice thin and very fast neck, but it should be just one of the standard Ibanez necks. *It's not as wide as a jem neck and not as thick as a JPM neck. * The frets are rather wide but it's not a problem for me. * The maple finger board is nice and probably what gives this guitar it's own sound. *

The tone is bright and crisp and very unique. *This guitar has great all around sound but especially for chorus fx / cleaner settings. *You can still get good low end crunch. * I hated the AirNorton in the JPM but can live with it in this guitar. * The ToneZone is a good match for this guitar. * I'd prefer a toggle but the 5-way switch does give you many more options. *

What can you say about the top? *It is really amazing to look at. *The guitar draws a lot of attention. *Hard to put a price tag on that.

A maple-top Prestige RG's or J-Customs would have the same play ability and tone for less money. * * So maybe a reasonable price would be somewhere between the cost of a Prestige and very similar JPM90. * But why be reasonable? * *
