Any advice where to buy Les Paul Studio?

Looking to buy an Ebony Les Paul Studio with gold hardware. I've been doing blanket searches for a few weeks but finding one in classifieds is unlikely, right? Everywhere else like the usual retailers & Amazon offer it for $1300 & change from an SRP of $1,799. I know that GC often has $200 discounts give or take when you spend $1,000+ etc., which I'm guessing other 'giants' might match??

I've been playing for a little while but I'm also a photographer and would like to use it in a few different shoots, which is why I want this specific model.

Any advice on best place to look? I'd like to get it in the next month otherwise I could be more patient waiting for a used model to pop up.

Thanks much!

Guitar Centers used gear section or Ebay or your local Craigslist or the gear page or jemsite classifieds. If you must buy new go run the racks at the nearest store near you and buy the one that plays the best. Good luck with your acquisition.

Try craigslist. I know of that exact thing sitting for $800 used right now.

Re: Advice where to buy Les Paul Studio

Thanks for the tips. I've backtracked. I went & played the Studio and just wasn't happy with it for a number of reasons. Not quite as sexy & 'well built' as I had hoped. Also only having a Strat & Ibanez I'm used to the much thinner body with tappered edges. When playing seated, which is what I do primarily, the square edges of the Les Paul is tough on my forearm.

Yes, I'm disappointed. :-(

Thanks again.
